Clay Buchholz showed up in sandals for last year’s golf contest at Red Sox spring training. His choice of footwear was much more appropriate this time around.
Clearly, it worked. The right-hander not only put up a solid nine points in this year’s Jordan’s Shootout, but he went on to double his score by draining the money ball.
Forget the New York Knicks’ Jeremy Lin and “Linsanity.” Now that Buchholz is the Jordan’s Shootout leader, “Claysanity” is in motion.
